PASSES AWAY AFTER PROLONGED ILLNESS
MRS. ANNA MARIA HUBER DIED AT COUNTY FARM.
Suddenly Expires While Sitting in Rocking Chair--Was Eighty-seven Years of Age.
While sitting comfortably in a rocking chair last evening, Mrs. Anna Maria Huber passed away suddenly at the county farm. Her demise occurred about midnight, and while she had been an invalid for a prolonged time, it was not thought that she was seriously ill. The cause of her death was given as old age. She was born in Baden, Germany, eighty-seven years ago, and came to American in 1881. She came direct to Muscatine and has resided here since that time. She is survived by six grandchildren, they bing: Mrs. Mary Mohnson, of Fairport; Mrs. Emma Biermann, and William, Fred, Amelia and Frank Kautz, all of South Muscatine.
The funeral will be held at 2 o'clock tomorrow afternoon at the Greenwood chapel. Interment will be made there and Rev. J.J. Jans, pastor of the German Evangelical church, will officiate at the services.
