Mrs. Ella S. Borschel Spinden, 74, died Tuesday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Bob Gregg, south of West Liberty.

Mrs. Spinden was born Sept. 9, 1881 at Morse. Her husband, Charles F. Spinden died in 1947.

She is survived by six daughters, Mrs. Ethel Gaulocher, St. Paul, Minn.; Helen Spinden, Corona, Calif.; Alice Spinden, Iowa City; Mrs. Edith Curtis and Mrs. Betty Ralston, both of Compton, Calif., and Mrs. Leola Gregg, West Liberty; a brother, Edward Borschel, Cedar Rapids, and nine grandchildren.
