Obituary of Terry L. Cole

Terry Cole, 58, of Muscatine, passed away on Saturday, July 6, 2019, at his home in Muscatine surrounded by his family and friends. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 10, 2019, at the Geo. M. Wittich-Lewis Home for Funeral and Cremation Services. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 9, 2019, from 4:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established at the funeral home in Terry’s memory. Terry Lee Cole was born on May 26, 1961, in Muscatine, Iowa the son of George “Bud” and Norma Jean (Wetzel) Cole. On April 18, 1981, Terry was united in marriage to Mary Kay Slutts in Louisa County, Iowa. He worked for Young Brothers Stamps and was a past member of the Eagles. Terry enjoyed hunting, fishing, building race cars and racing, coaching baseball, softball and boxing, but most of all, he loved to watch his grandchildren play sports.

Terry will be deeply missed by his wife, Mary of Muscatine; his children, Jason (Ashley) Cole of Moscow, Misty (Todd) Staley of Nichols, Terry Jr (Courtney) Cole of Conesville, Beth (R.J.) Truitt of Muscatine and Michael (Tonya) Cole of Georgia; 11grandchilden, Brianna, Rylee, Kiley, Daisy, Tucker, Austin, Shawn, Draven, Dixey, Dolan and Paislee; siblings, Randy Wetzel of Muscatine and LuAnn (Doug) Eichelberger of Muscatine; his dog, Millie and many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews and friends.

Terry was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Cheryl Kress.
