Death Summons Andrew A. Bersch

Native of Sweetland Township succumbs; Funeral Rites Wednesday.

Andrew A Bersch, 78, died at 12:15 a.m. today at the home of his sister, Mrs. Susie Moots, 955 Lucas street, after an illness of about five weeks.
Mr. Bersch was born in Sweetland township on March 1, 1856 and had made his home in the county all his life. For the past 12 years he had been living with his sister. He was a member of St. Mary’s church. Mr. Bersch never married.
Surviving are four brothers and sisters, Mrs. Moots. Mrs. Ed Maher and Antone Bersch, all of Muscatine, and Mrs. John Caple, Beloit, Kas. One sister, Mrs. Conrad Weikert, died six years ago.
The body is at the Ralph J. Wittich Funeral home, 216 West Third street, where it will remain until funeral services which will be conducted at 9 a.m., Wednesday at St. Mary’s church by the Rev. Father N. J. Peiffer. Burial will be in St. Mary’s cemetery.
