Mrs. W. L. Watters, 79, a resident of West Liberty for 50 years, died Friday. She had been in failing health for three years. Services were held Monday with the Rev. David Shaeffer officiating. Burial was in Oakridge cemetery.

Daughter of Alexander G. and Mary Dallas McIntosh, she was born March 3, 1878 on a farm south of Atalissa. She attended the Cedarville rural school near Atalissa and the Iowa City Academy.

She was married to W. L. Watters Feb. 8, 1898 and they operated a drug store there until 1907 when they moved to West Liberty.

She is survived by her husband, a son, Howard, West Liberty, and a daughter, Mrs. Hilda Wells, Moline, Ill.
