Harry C. Diedrich, 66, a resident of Durant for 38 years, died July 30 in Veterans hospital, Iowa City, following an extended illness.

Mr. Diedrich was born in Durant. He was employed by the Durant Creamery and by the A. R. Lamp Produce Co. He was also a bus driver for the Durant Community school.

He served in World War I; was a member of the J. L. Shryer American Legion Post 430 and of St. Paul's Episcopal church at Durant.

Services were conducted Monday in St. Paul's Episcopal church. Burial was in the Durant cemetery.

Surviving are the wife, the former Valeria Hein, a brother, Albert of Davenport, and 3 sisters, Mrs. Ida Thiering, Davenport; Mrs. Emma Schult and Mrs. Frank Kuelper, both of Durant.
