Pneumonia Fatal to J. Adkison; Rites Indefinite

James Adkison of Van Buren street, died at Bellevue hospital at 2 p.m. today. Death was caused by pneumonia. Mr. Adkison had been a patient at the hospital since last Thursday.

The Hoffman Funeral home is in charge of arrangements. Further details will be given Tuesday.

Funeral Plans for James W. Adkison, 28 Are Being Arranged

James William Adkison, 28, of Van Buren street, died at Bellevue hospital Monday at 1:50 p.m. following an illness of nine days with pneumonia.

He was born Oct. 31, 1908, at Illinois and had been a resident of Muscatine for 14 years. On Sept. 15, 1928, he married Mildred Dusenberry at Muscatine.

Surviving are his wife and four children, Betty Jane, James Richard, Frank Leroy and Evelyn Marie, one brother, Jess Adkison of Rock Island, and a sister, Leona Adkison of Dubuque.

The body is at the Hoffman Funeral Home pending funeral arrangements.

Services Conducted for James Adkison -- Funeral rites for James Adkison, Van Buren street, who died at Bellevue hospital from pneumonia, were held at 2:30 p.m. today at the Hoffman Funeral home.

Dr. L. L. Weis, pastor of the First Methodist Episcopal church, officiated. Burial was in Greenwood cemetery.
