John Haller Succumbs after Extended Illness - John Haller, 64, resident of Muscatine for the past 37 years, died of a heart ailment at his home, 522 Miles avenue, at 12:30 a.m. today, following an illness of seven and one-half years.

Born in Burlington Jan. 1, 1873, Mr. Haller lived at that city until moving to Muscatine. He married Miss Rose Lawrence, who preceded him in death June 5, 1936. He was a member of the Fraternal Aid union.

Survivors include seven sons, all of Muscatine, Clarence, Elmer, John Jr., George, Herbert, Fred and Charles, the latter three living at home; three daughters, also of Muscatine, Mrs. Oscar Olson, Mrs. John Carpenter and Dorothy, who loves at home; three brothers, Charles of Moline, Frank of Burlington and George of Gary, Ind.; two sisters, Mrs. Elizabeth Kiser of Burlington and Mrs. Lena Olds of Pittsburgh, Pa., and 17 grandchildren.

The body will be removed from the Meyers funeral home Tuesday morning to the home of a daughter, Mrs. Oscar Olson, 1019 Nebraska street, to remain there until 11 a.m. Wednesday and then to be returned to the funeral home, where funeral services will be conducted at 2 :30 p.m. Wednesday. Burial will be in Memorial Park cemetery.
