Funeral services for August Gettert, 90, of Muscatine, were held Nov. 29 with burial in Greenwood cemetery at Muscatine.

Mr. Gettert, a life resident of Muscatine county, died Nov. 26 in Mercy hospital in Iowa City.

He was a retired farmer and a former president of the White Pigeon Insurance Co., of Wilton Junction.

Survivors include one son, Fred H. Gettert, Muscatine; one daughter, Mrs. Erma Doerfer, Muscatine; one brother, John Gettert, Muscatine; three grandchildren, Mrs. Keith Vetter, Washington, Richard Doerfer, Waterloo, and Mrs. R. E. Wigel, Morgantown, W. Va., and 6 great-grandchildren.
