Funeral services for Lynn S. Watters, 76, a retired Atalissa farmer, were held at the Methodist church in West Liberty Sunday. The Rev. Ray E. Orr officiated with burial in Overman cemetery at Atalissa.

Mr. Watters died at his home in West Liberty Dec. 3, after an extended illness.

He was born near Atalissa Sept. 19, 1882, the son of Henry Q. and Dora Stiles Watters. He was married to Lura Jones Jan. 17, 1905. She preceded him in death.

He was re-married May 16, 1945, to the former Agnes Crees.

Survivors include his widow; a son, Reginald, Cedar Rapids; a step-daughter, Mrs. Bonnie L. Sturtz, of Milwaukee, Wis.; two granddaughters; two brothers, Willard, West Liberty, and Fred, Rock Island, Ill., and a sister, Marie Watters, of Flint, Mich.
