Mrs. Bridget Long Funeral Rites To Be Saturday

Nichols – Funeral services will be held at 9 a.m. Saturday at St. Mary’s church in Nichols for Mrs. Bridget Foley Long, age 80, who died at her home here Thursday following a two months illness.
The daughter of Dennis and Mary Wickum Foley she was born Nov. 29, 1871 in Pike township and had been a lifelong resident of this community. She was married to Jacob Long on Sept. 10, 1923. Mrs. Long was a member of the St Mary’s Catholic church in Nichols.
Surviving are her husband and one brother, John, of Nichols. She was preceded in death by a brother, Lawrence; a sister, Mary; and her parents.
The Rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. tonight at the Snider Funeral home in West Liberty. Burial will be in the St. Mary’s cemetery in Nichols.
