MARGARET COZAD

Mrs. Margaret Sara Cozad, 64, of 1002 Illinois St. died Tuesday evening at Muscatine General Hospital following an extended illness.

Services will be Thursday at 1:30 p.m. at the George M. Wittich-Lewis Funeral Home with the Rev. A.A. Butenbach of Glad Tidings Church officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation at the funeral home will be today until 9 p.m. and time of service Thursday.

Mrs. Cozad was born April 16, 1918, in Wapello, the daughter of John and Mary Saultz Ellis. A life resident of the area, she married Raymond G. Cozad on Aug. 4, 1933, in Muscatine. She was formerly employed by J&K Button Company.

Surviving are four sons, Billie Joe, Donnie, Richard and Scott, all of Muscatine; three daughters of Muscatine, Mrs. Donald (Wanda) Shoultz, Mrs. Mary Lou Hinden and Mrs. Albert (Gerri) Stecher; 20 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; a borther Floyd Ellis of Muscatine; and three sisters, Mrs. Wilbur (Florence) Patterson and Mrs. Mary Burch, both of Muscatine, and Mrs. Edward (Maxine) Hake of Winterhaven, Fla.

She was preceded in death by her husband, a daughter, four sisters, three brothers and a granddaughter.
