RAYMOND G. COZAD

Raymond G. Cozad, 71, Rt. 1, Nichols, died Saturday at Muscatine General Hospital.

Services were held at 1:30 p.m. today at the Geo. M. Wittich-Lewis Funeral Home. The Rev. A.A. Buntenbach officiated. Burial was in Island Cemetery.

The son of William J. and Belle Thorpe Cozad, he was born May 30, 1911, in Loraine Township, Henry County, Ill. He had resided in the surrounding area since 1914.

His marriage was to Margaret Ellis. He was a member of Moose Lodge No. 388. Mr. Cozad had been employed by Acme and Northern Gravel Co. before his retirement and had been a commercial fisherman.

Survivors include his wife; four sons Billy Joe, Donnie, Richard, and Scott, all of Muscatine; three daughters, Mrs. Donald (Wanda) Shoultz, Mrs. Mary Lou Hinden, and Mrs. Albert (Gerri) Stecher, all of Muscatine; 19 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, one sister and a daughter.
