Rites are planned at 4 p.m. Tuesday at the Geo. M. Wittich Funeral Home for Albert Babbitt, 88, whose death occurred at 8 p.m. Saturday at the Grigg nursing Home. Dr. James Webster, pastor of the First Baptist church, will officiate. Interment will be at Greenwood cemetery.
Mr. Babbitt was born Dec. 11, 1868, in Michigan, and had spent most of his life here. He was first married to Addie Schafer. His second marriage was to Josephine Barney. He was of Baptist faith.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Will Hank of Monmouth, Ill.; A step-son, Albert Barney, Muscatine; nine grandchildren and nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
