Arthur Cochran, Proprietor of Tavern, Dies

Arthur G. Cochran. 54, of 224 1/2 East Second street, operator of the Cochran tavern at Mulberry avenue and Second street, died at 11:52 p. m. Sunday at Bellevue hospital, where he had been a patient for nearly a week. Death was attributed to a heart ailment.
Born in Lake township on Dec. 18, 1886, he was the son of Andrew and Isabelle Mills Cochran and had been a resident of this community all of his life. He was a member of the Eagles lodge.
Surviving are the mother, Mrs. Isabelle Phillips; a daughter, Mrs. Albert Carney; one brother, Roy C. Cochran, a sister, Mrs. Elsie Todt, and a granddaughter, Dixie Lee Carney, all of Muscatine. He was preceded in death by his father, a sister and his wife.
The body is at the Fairbanks Home for Funerals and services will be held at the Fairbanks Chapel at 2:30 p. m. Wednesday. Friends may call at the funeral home any time after 9 a. m. Tuesday. Burial will be in Greenwood cemetery.
