Mrs. Graebner Succumbs After Extended Illness

Mrs. Mae Neff Graebner, 53, died at 9:20 a. m., today at her home, 2516 Mulberry avenue, after an extended illness. Mrs. Graebner underwent an operation at Mayo clinic at Rochester in August but failed to recover.
She was born on March 17, 1889 at Shippensburg, Pa., the daughter of Charles A. and Elizabeth Neff. She attended the public schools there and was graduate from the Carlisle Commercial college at Carlisle, Pa. She came to Muscatine in 1908.
Her marriage to C. E. Graebner occurred on July 30, 1913 in Muscatine. Mrs. Graebner was a member of the First Methodist church, of the White Shrine of Jerusalem and of the Order of Eastern Star of the Masonic organization.
Surviving are her husband, one daughter, Mrs. Betty J. Blunk, Davenport: a granddaughter, Betty Ann Blunk, Davenport; three brothers, Paul A. Neff and Boyd L. Neff, both of Miami, Fla., and Charles O. Neff of Hyattsville, Md. Her parents preceded her in death.
The body is at the George Wittich Funeral home where it will remain for services to be conducted at 2:30 p. m. Saturday by the Rev. R. M. Shipman, pastor of the First Methodist Episcopal church. Burial will be in Greenwood cemetery.

MRS. MAE GRAEBNER

The funeral rites for Mrs. Mac Graebner were conducted at 2:30 p. m. Saturday at the Geo. M. Wittich Funeral home with Dr. Raymond Shipman of the First Methodist church in charge. Burial was in Greenwood cemetery.
Frances Parsons and Mildred Wheeler sang “Abide With Me,” with Mrs. Floyd Scott as accompanist. Casketbearers were Omer Jones, Elmer Steinmetz, O. M. Kautz, C. H. Fishburn, H. L. Brandau and Dr. F. W. Englund, with the wives of the casketbearers and Mrs. A. J. Greiner in charge of flowers.
