MARIE CARTER

NICHOLS, Iowa -- Services for Marie Carter, 88, will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Barker Funeral Home, West Liberty. Burial will be in Nichols Cemetery.

Visitation will be 3-8 p.m. Tuesday.

She died Saturday at Simpson Memorial Home, West Liberty, after an extended illness.

Mrs. Carter worked for many years at Muscatine General Hospital as a nurse's aide.

Her memberships included Loyal Order of the Moose Auxiliary, American Legion Auxiliary and Muscatine County Farm Bureau.

Memorials may be made to Nichols First responders.

Survivors include a son, Vernon, West Liberty; a sister, Emma Crist, Conesville; brothers, Frank Yedlik, Iowa City, and Edwin Yedlik, Vinton; eight grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren.
