Theodore Gabel of Nichols Is Called in Death
Nichols – Theodore Gabel, 66, lifelong resident of this community, died at his home at 3:30 a.m. today after an illness with complications. The son of Amelia and Fred Gabel, he was born Jan. 29, 1880 on a farm west of Nichols where he spent his entire life. His parents and two sisters preceded him in death.

Surviving are two sisters Julia Gabel of Nichols and Mrs. Louise Shroeder of Marked Tree, Ark., two brothers Henry of Chicago, and William of Nichols, one niece and four nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday at the family home with the Rev. Horance Iseband, Methodist minister in charge. Burial will be in Nichols Cemetery under the directions of the Kirchner Funeral home.
