Elizabeth M. Wilcox, 79, 1515 Washington St., died Sunday at Bethesda Care Center following an extended illness.
The body has been donated to science at the University of Iowa medical school. Arrangements are under the direction of the Riley Funeral Home.
The former Elizabeth M. Kirkpatrick was born Nov. 20, 1907 at Nichols, a daughter of John and Anna Kirkpatrick. She was a lifelong resident here. Her marriage to Keith E. Wilcox took place June 14, 1938 at Nichols. She was a member of the Wesley United Methodist Church, Rotaryann, the Athenieum Club and was a Clark House volunteer.
Survivors include her husband; three sons, John Wilcox, Dahahran, Saudi Arabia; Leslie R. Wilcox, Seattle; and Eugene R. Wilcox, Houston, Texas; five grandchildren; three brothers, Lowrey Kirkpatrick, Iowa City; Harley Kirkpatrick and Robert Kirkpatrick, both of Nichols; four sisters, Annabelle Kirkpatrick, Los Angeles; Helen Corbett, Lone Tree; Mable Hohenboken, Genesco; and Mrs. Ardell Hudachek, Rock Island.
