Nichols, Iowa – Loetta Mae Flores, 70, died Thursday, December 13, 2007, at the Solon Nursing Care Center. There will be no services. The Henderson-Barker Funeral Home in West Liberty is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Flores was born Oct 15, 1937, in Denison, the daughter of Henry and Loys Bruce Paulsen.

She was a graduate of Nichols High School. She spent many years living in Chandler, Ariz., most recently living in Nichols and Muscatine. She enjoyed reading mysteries, writing and art work.

She is survived by a sister, Bonnie Green of Muscatine; two nieces, Kim Jones of Muscatine and Teri McKinney Schmidt of Ocala, Fla., and a nephew, Steve Paulsen of Iowa City.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Dan Flores, and a brother Lloyd Paulsen.
