Stephen Lloyd, 68, colored, died at his home, 525 West Eighth street, this morning at 4:15, after an illness of one week.

Mr. Lloyd was born in Memphis, Tenn., March 2, 1859, but had resided in Muscatine for the past 42 years. He married Miss Louise Clay here in 1889.

Surviving besides his wife are five daughters, the Mrs. Nellie Robinson, Gertrude Williams, Sadie Imes and Anna Winn, all of Chicago, and Mrs. Addie Pasch of this city; four sons, Lloyd, Fred, Thomas and Moral, all of Muscatine.

Funeral plans have not been made. Arrangements are in charge of the Fairbanks Home for Funerals.

Note: Burial was made at Greenwood Cemetery.
