V. Sagdanske Dies Suddenly at Home Here. - Valdis (Willliam) Sagdanske, 85, a resident of this community since 1907, died at 8 p.m. Thursday at his home in fruitland township. Death was sudden following a heart attach.
He was born on Mach 25, 1864, in Poland, the son of John Rose Cuhn Sagdanske, but had lived in this area since 1907. He married Mary Messinger on Nov. 10, 1877 in Poland. Mr. Sagdanske was a member of ion Lutheran church.
Surviving are his wife, two sons, Sigmund Sagdanske, Los Angeles, Calif., and Roger Sagdanske, Muscatine, two daughters, Mrs. Adolph Mundt, Bettendorf, and Mrs. Kenneth Gertenbach, Milwaukee, two grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
His parents, two sons and three daughters preceded him in death. The body is at the Geo. M. Wittich Funeral home and will remain there until services which will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday at Zion Lutheran church. Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery.
