MRS. AGNES BELL TARPY

Mrs. Agnes Bell Tarpy, 68, of 1321 Osborn street, died at 10:45 p.m. Friday at Mercy hospital after being in failing health for several years.
Mrs. Tarpy was born June 3, 1881 at Nichols, Iowa, the daughter of Risdon and Emma Ketchner Tipton, and was married to John L. Tarpy, who is dead. She was a member of St, Paul's Catholic church, Moose lodge and Hawkeye natives.
Surviving are 2 daughters, Marguerite Tarpy and Mrs. Everett Rhea, both of Burlington; 3 brothers, Roy E. Tipton, Muscatine; Lloyd Tipton, Milwaukee, Wis., a Calif.; and several nieces and nephews, including Joseph Tipton, Burlington. In addition to her husband, one daughter, Mildred, is dead.
Services will be at 9 a.m. Tuesday at St. Paul's Catholic church. The cortege will leave residence of her daughter, Mrs. Rhea. 2404 Sunnyside avenue, at 8:45. Burial will be in Sacred Heart cemetery. The rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. Monday at the residence, where the body will be taken Monday morning from Prugh’s chapel.

NOTE: Evidently, the 3rd brother's name was omitted in the paper.
