Death Claims Thomas Carney

Nichols Man Passes Early Today at Home; Funeral Is Indefinite.

Nichols—Thomas Jefferson Carney, 54, died at 4 o'clock this morning at his home here after an illness of about seven years.
Mr. Carney was born June 26, 1880, in Kansas, but had spent most of his life in this vicinity. He was married May 27, 1908, to Miss Nellie Truess at Muscatine, who survives him.
He was a member of the M. W. A. lodge.
Surviving besides his widow are four children, Lee A. and Mrs. Pearl Stalkfleet, both of Nichols, and Goldie and Clarence at home; one brother, Clark Carney of Burlington, Wash., and three grandchildren.
Funeral arrangements have not yet been completed. The body will remain at the home and is in charge of Henry Kirschner, funeral director. The family requests that flowers be omitted.
