Raymond “Louis” Shetler Jr., 81, died Saturday, Dec. 30, 2006, at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City.

Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Henderson-Barker Funeral Home in West Liberty. Burial will be in Muscatine Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Iowa City Hospice.

Louis was born July 17, 1925 near Atalissa the son of Raymond Louis and Alice I. McAnulty Shetler. He was a graduate of West Liberty High School. On Aug. 5, 1950 he was united in marriage to Dona Collison in Muscatine. He had farmed his entire life in the Atalissa and West Liberty area.

Survivors include three children: Steve (Sharon) Shetler of Atalissa, Barb Howe of Iowa City and Linda (Tom) Kaalberg of West Liberty. Grandchildren: Christopher (Melinda) Shetler, LeeAnn Gruchow, Shane (Jacki) Kaalbrg, Kelli (Corey) Thumma and Brittny Kaalberg. Four great grandchildren: Blaise and Aeron Thumma, Logan Gruchow and Caden Shetler. He was preceded in death by his parents and wife, Dona.
