Mrs. Viola Peak, 94, died Tuesday, December 26, 1995, at Simpson Memorial Home in West Liberty following an extended illness.

Mrs. Peak was born April 9, 1901, at Santa Fe, Misouri, the daughter of Horace and Cora Babcox Bybee. She was married to Harry Peak on Jun 2, 1921, in Paris, Missouri. She had been employed at Morris Drug Store in West Liberty for several years. She was a member of the First Church United in West Liberty.

Survivors include a daughter and her husband, Doris and Duane Thomas of West Liberty; eight grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Harry in 1989, son Philip in 1987, a sister and two brothers.
