Hal L. McKillip, 67, died December 6, 1996, at Muscatine General Hospital.
Services were held December 10, at the Geo. M. Wittich-Lewis Funeral Home, Muscatine. Casket bearers were Jim Tomasson, Miller, Hahn, Bierman, Krackow. Burial was in the Overman Cemetery, Atalissa.
Mr. McKillip was born May 29 2,1929, in Cedar County, the son of William F. and Treva Hearst McKillip. He married Shirley Ann Flake on August 22, 1952, in Iowa City. He was a member of Lotus Chapter of the Eastern Star, where he was a worthy patron, and a member and past master of the Rochester Golden Rule Masonic Lodge No. 24 AF&AM. He had farmed in the Muscatine area his entire life.
Survivors include a son, Gary McKillip; two daughters, Mrs. Christina A. (David) Draves of Muscatine and Mrs.Sharon L. (Richard) Dickman of Lost Nation; five grandchilden, Stacey and Matt Draves, Shelly McKillip, Andrew Chelf and Rebecca Dickman; his mother, Treva McKillip of West Liberty, and a brother, William D. McKillip of Dora, MO. He was preceded in death by his father and a son, Steven, in infancy.
