Mrs. Abiah Hesser Final Rites Held at Nichols Church

Nichols-Funeral services for Mrs. Abiah V. Hesser were held Thursday afternoon from the Christian church in Nichols. Rev. Charles R. Hagee, pastor of the church, assisted by Rev. Frank Sutton, pastor of the West Liberty Christian church conducted services.

Harry Lewis and Archie Ditmers of West Liberty, accompanied by Mrs. Ora Nichols at the organ, sang, "It Is Well With My Soul," "In the Sweet Bye and Bye," and "Going Down the Valley." Flower attendants were, Mrs. Anna Rosenfield, Mrs. Edna Kirchner, Mrs. Elsie Poole, Mrs. Alberta Kelley and Mrs. Hazel Poole.

Pallbearers were: B.F. Nicols, Ira Pike, John Foley, Ray Swichard, W.R. Schmitt and Louis Kil. Ushers, B.L. Metcalf, and Fred Poole. Burial was made in the Nichols cmeetery. Among those who attended the services from out-of-town were Mrs. Mary Eby and son, Bob, of Cedar Rapids; Mrs. John Watson, of Binger, Okla.; Mr. and Mrs. George Nichols, of Muscatine.
