Osceola Bird Lucas.

Osceola Bird Lucas, 80, Fruitland township, died suddenly at 9:30 a.m. Sunday at his home of heart ailment.

A resident of the Muscatine community for most of his life, Mr. Lucus had operated a mink farm on Muscatine island.

The funeral services are pending at the George M. Wittich funeral home, where friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. on Tuesday. The date of the services will depend on information received from Mrs. James Henderson, a daughter who lives at Magnac, France.

Mr. Lucas is survived by his wife, the former Grace Hobart, whom he married Oct. 6, 1919, at Tipton; two daughters, including Mrs. Robert Pinkerton, New Windsor, Ill,, and four grand-children. Two brothers and two sisters are dead.

The son of William and Alwilda Atkins Lucas, Mr.Lucas was born Jan. 7, 1883 at Rochester, Iowa.
