Word has been received here of the death of Hugh B. Walker, 91, a former resident of Muscatine. Mr. Walker died Friday evening at he Grandview Manor Nursing Home in Camp Point, Ill., following a short illness.

Funeral sevices will be held Monday at 2 pm at the Hansen-Spear Funeral Home in Quincy, Ill. Burial will be in Quincy Memorial Park.

Mr. Walker was born Sept. 22, 1883, in Kossuth, Ia., the son of Henry and Maria Jane VanOsdall Walker. He married Lenora McMillin July 28, 1909 in Aledo.

He was a member of the Lincoln Blvd Baptist church here and was employed as a foreman at H J. Heinz Co prior to his retirement. He was a resident of Muscatine for 50 years and for the last nine years, had been a resident of Quincy.

Surviving are two granddaughters, Mrs. Sandra Sherman and Mrs. Wallace (Nancy) Snyder, both of Quincy, and six great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, his parents, three sisters, four brothers and one daughter.
