Mrs. Janney, 45, Succumbs After Extended Illness – Mrs Loring Janney, 45, lifelong resident of Muscatine, died at 9:30 a.m. today at her home, 211 East Fourth street, after an illness of three years.

She was born in Muscatine on March 5, 1904, the daughter of Emil and Frances Thompson Moore. Her marriage to Loring Janney occurred on Nov. 26, 1924, in Muscatine. Mrs. Janney was a member of Trinity Episcopal church.

Surviving are her husband; three sons, Loring Janney, Jr., in the U.S. Navy, Richard Janney, Muscatine, and Robert Janney, at home; one daughter, Roberta Janney, at home; her mother Mrs. Frances Moore, Muscatine; one brother, Robert Moore, of this city; two sisters, Ruby Peterson, Moline, and Bernice Moore, Muscatine.

Her father and one daughter preceded her in death.

The body is at the Ralph J. Wittich Funeral home where friends may call anytime after 3 p.m. Thursday. Funeral arrangements are pending.
