MRS. MARIAN AYE
Wilton— Funeral services will be conducted Thursday at 2 p. m. (CST) at the Griffith funeral home in Wilton tor Mrs. Marian Aye, 73, who died at 4 p. m. Monday at the Hawker Nursing Home in West Liberty after a lengthy illness. Her address was Atalissa.
Born the daughter of Mathew and Ellen Anderson Dickey Apr. 27, 1889, at Moscow, Mrs. Aye was a lifelong resident of Atalissa and Moscow area.
She married Otto H. Oetting Apr 29, 1907. Mr. Oetting died in 1918. On April 27, 1927, she married August C. Aye. He passed away in August, 1961.
Mrs. Aye was a member of Atalissa Presbyterian church, Friendly Neighbors Lodge and a charter member of Penn Avenue Grange.
Sons surviving are Ray Oetting, Atalissa; and four stepsons: Glen Aye, Davenport; Merle Aye, Muscatine; Leo Aye, Davenport; and Kenneth Aye, Tucumcari, N. Mexico.
Surviving daughters are Mrs. Edward (Mildred) Windman, Wilton; Mrs. Albert (Nellie) Asmus, Wilton; and Mrs. Harry (Gladys) King, Jeffersonville, Ind. Step-daughters surviving are Mrs. George (Florence) Sterner, Atalissa; Mrs. Ivan (Pearl) Sterner, Wilton; and Mrs. Ralph (Grace) Schmitt, Davenport.
Also among survivors are 12 grandchildren and 17 step-grandchildren: four great-grandchildren and 32 step-great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Preceding in death were the husbands, an infant son, daughter, one sister and two brothers.
The body is now at Griffith funeral home in Wilton. Burial will be at Overman cemetery at Atalissa.
