WAPELLO - Verl Bickford, 67 of Wapello, died at 11 p.m. Monday at his home in Wapello.
Services will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at the Dudgeon-McCulley Funeral Home in Wapello. Burial will be in Nichols Cemetery. Friends may call at the Funeral Home.
Born Sept. 29, 1908, he was the son of James and Olive Schieldberg Bickford of Nichols. His marriage to Helen Woods took place at What Cheer. She died in June 1968.
Survivors include four sons, John of Davenport, Verle and Jerry, both of Selma, Iowa and Larry, of Wapello; one daughter, Mrs. Carol Russell of Ocean Side, Calif; 13 grandchildren; one brother, Lyle Bickford of Wapello; and three sisters, Cleo Myers of What Cheer, and June Ward
and Gertrude Meiskey, both of Oakdale.
He was preceded in death by his wife and one daughter.
