Pay Tribute to Iowa Soldier

Letts, Ia., Nov. 18. – Memorial services were conducted yesterday afternoon for Clinton Hendrix, of Clinton, Ia., who was killed in action in France on September 9. The services were held at the home of his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. William Hendrix, living just north of town. The Rev. D. Phillips of the Methodist church at Letts was in charge of the services. The obituary was read by Mrs. Day Hendrix of Mount Vernon and a letter from W. W. Hendrix of Pittsburgh was read.

Relatives from a distance who attended were Mr. and Mrs. T. Hendrix of Clinton, Mr. and Mrs. Edgar Roberts, St. Francis, Mo.; Mr. and Mrs. Day Hendrix and son, of Mount Vernon.
