Services for Clarence Brown, 71, Milan, were held Thursday at Esterdahl Chapel, Moline. Burial was in Riverside Cemetery.
Mr. Brown died Monday, December 6 at Moline Lutheran Hospital.
He retired in 1970 as a property disposal foreman at Rock Island Arsenal, where he had been employed 24 years.
Mr. Brown married Lila G. Lau in 1929 in Davenport. She died in 1968. He married Gladys M. Hampton in 1970 in Moline.
He was a former member of Fraternal Order of Eagles, Moline Aerie 1112, and Muscatine Moose Club.
Survivors include his wife; a daughter, JoAnn Varnholtz, Auburn, Washington; sons, Carl, Fontana, California; Kenneth, Moline, and Warren, East Moline; 11 grandchildren, a great-grandson; and sisters, Faye Martin and Lucille “Toots” Nemeroff, both of West Liberty.
