Muscatine, Iowa - Dennis R. Mills, 50, Muscatine, died Monday, June 7, 2004, at Genesis Medical Center - West Campus, Davenport.

Services were 1:20 p.m. Thursday, June 10, at the George M. Wittich-Lewis funeral Home, 2907 Mulberry Ave. Casket bearers were Don Phelps, Dave Strause, Larry Carlson, Kenny Fisher, Sean McNally and Danny Moyers. Honorary casket bearers were Don Mills, Dick Mills and Nathaniel Mills. Burial was at Memorial Park Cemetery. After the burial, a time of fellowship was held in the Community Room at the funeral home.

A memorial was established at the funeral home.

Mr. Mills was born Sept. 25, 1953, in Muscatine, the son of Robert and Eva (Pirtle) Mills.

He worked for Bandag for 30 years.

He enjoyed golfing, league bowling, NASCAR Racing and being outdoors.

Survivors include a daughter, Dena Mills of Muscatine; his parents, Robert and Eva Mills of Muscatine; a niece, Natalia Mills of Columbus Junction; and nephew, Nathaniel Mills of Muscatine; and many family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents Arley and Jessie Crawford Mills; and a brother, James R. Mills.
