ASA GOLDSBERRY

Lone Tree--Services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Sorden Chapel, Riverside, for Asas Goldsberry, 69, who died Saturday evening at his home in Riverside.

Rev. Melhorn will officiate. Burial will be in the Swank Cemetery near Lone Tree. Visitation is this afternoon.

A son of Frank and Daisy Hill Goldsberry, he was born Dec. 20, 1911, at Conesville. His marriage to Marie Etter took place September 26, 1931, in Rock Island.

Mr. Goldsberry, a farmer, had served two years in the U.S. Navy.

Surviving are his wife; one son, John of West Liberty; two daughters, Mrs. Evan (Norma) Watkinson of West Branch, and Barbara Caffery of Davenport; six grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; one brother Robert of Mount Pleasant, Texas; three shisters, Erma Mickey of Hatfield, Ark., and Catherine Lewis of Muscatine.

He was preceded in death by four sisters and one brother.
