A.A. Mittman, Lifelong County Resident, Dies

Andrew Adolph Mittman, 70, died suddenly at 5:15 pm Wednesday at his home on rural route No. 6 of a heart ailment. Mr. Mittman, a farmer, had been in ill health for the past two years.
The son of Frederick and Catherine Kleinbeck Mittman, he was born March 21, 1869, in Fruitland township, Muscatine county, and was a life-long resident of Muscatine county.
He married Amanda Reinhold on June 8, 1904, in Davenport. He was a life member of the Evangelical and Reformed church and had been a member of the church board for several years.
Surviving are the widow; one daughter, Mrs. Harvey Krueger; and one sister, Mrs. Paulina Huttig, all of Muscatine. He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 1 p.m. at his home and at 2 p.m. at the Evangelical and Reformed church with the Rev. F.C. Schmidt, pastor of the church, officiating. The body is at the George M. Wittich Funeral home but will be removed to the family home in Fruitland township Friday afternoon. Burial will be in Greenwood.
