Ulysses C. Lake of Bloomington Township Dies

Ulysses Cole Lake, 79, Bloomington Township farmer, died at 6:20 a.m. today at Hershey hospital. Mr. Lake was born September 1, 1865 in Sweetland Township, being a son of Daniel and Abigail Cole Lake. He had been a lifelong resident of this community. He married Sarah B. McClean of Wilton, May 27, 1896. She preceded him in death. Mr. Lake married Ermina Denton Cayot at Muscatine, June 2, 1915. He was a member of the Bloomington Friends Church. Surviving in addition to the widow, are one daughter, Miss Eunice Lake, Davenport, one brother Preston Lake, Muscatine, one sister, Miss Abby Lake, Oskaloosa, and a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted at the Bloomington Friends Church at 2 p.m. Sunday by the Rev. Guilford Street, pastor, assisted by the Rev. George Evans. Burial will be at the Bloomington Friends cemetery. The body will remain at the Hoffman funeral home pending services.
