C. A Haifleigh, 76, a resident of Muscatine practically his entire life, died Wednesday at 5 p.m. at 419 Houser street after an illness of four days.
Born in Carroll county, Maryland, Jan. 31, 1861, the son of Mr. and Mrs. W. S. Haifleigh, he came to Iowa when a small boy and had made his home in Muscatine since that time.
Survivors include a brother, J. C. Haifleigh, of Newton; and three nieces and nephews, Mrs. Tracy Ryan and Pearl Haifleigh, both of Newton and Mrs. Charles Shepard of Sweetland.
Funeral services will be conducted Friday at 2 p.m. from the Meyers Funeral Home, which is in charge of arrangements. The Rev. C.H. Hiller, pastor of the park Avenue Methodist church, will officiate. Burial will be in the Harker cemetery.
