Jerry L. Tammenga, 62, Muscatine, died Tuesday, Aug. 8, 2006, at The University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, Iowa City.

The Rev. Paul Ostrem will officiate.

Mr. Tammenga was born Oct. 5, 1943, in Muscatine, the son of Chris and Janette I. Bierman Tammenga. He married Catherine Johnson on June 10, 1978, in Muscatine.

He owned and operated The Chip Shop, Muscatine, for more than 20 years. He enjoyed working with his model railroad and fishing.

He is survived by all those living and was preceded in death by all those deceased.
