MUSCATINE, Iowa
Krista Marie Chase, 21, of 2165 Seven Springs Rd., died Wednesday, Oct. 11, 2000, at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics.

Services will be at the Ralph J. Wittich-Riley-Freers Funeral Home. The Rev. Rick Simpson of the Trinity Episcopal Church will officiate. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery.

Krista was born on Aug. 22, 1979, in Mountain View, Calif, the daughter of Keith and Marsha Ripperdan Chase.

She graduated from Bushnell-Prairie City High School in 1997.

She was employed by Allsteel and was a student at Muscatine Community College.

Survivors include her father, Keith M. Chase of Prairie City, Ill.; her mother, Marsha Schenkel and her husband, Rollie, of Muscatine; one sister, Kimberly Knizekewich and her husband, Robert, of Davenport; one nephew, Chase M. Knizekewich; her maternal grandmother, Edna Ripperdan of Lake Station, Indiana; her paternal grandparents, Willis and Betty Chase of Prairie City, Ill.; a step-brother, Randy Schenkel of Muscatine and a step-sister, Chris Schenkel of Wilton.

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Sam Ripperdan.
