MONTPELIER, Iowa
Billie L. Asmussen, 70, of Montpelier, formerly of Augusta, Ga., died Sunday, Oct. 15, 2000, at her home.

Services will be at Cunnick-Collins Mortuary in Davenport. Burial will be at Davenport Memorial Park. Visitation will be one half hour prior to the service Thursday at the mortuary.

She was born on Dec. 19, 1929, in Kansas City, the daughter of William and Marguerite Jones Flud. She married George Carter in October 1949 and later married John Cash in November 1976. After his death she married Lyle L. Asmussen Aug. 20, in Buffalo.

Survivors include a husband, Lyle Asmussen of Montpelier; a daughter, Patricia Jones of Davie, Fla.; stepdaughter, Carolyn Keegan of Bettendorf; three stepsons, Dale Asmussen of Donahue, Darold Asmussen of Bettendorf and Don Asmussen of Donahue; three granddaughters, two grandsons; nine step grandchildren; one step great-grandson; and two brothers, Robert G. Flud of Stockton, Calif. and Richard R. Flud of Manteca, Calif.

She was preceded in death by a son, James Aaron Carter.
