TIPTON - Michael William Stone, 51, Tipton, died Tuesday, Dec. 7, suddenly of a heart attack.

Services will be at Fry Funeral Home in Tipton. The Rev. David Lorenzen will officiate. Burial will be at Glendale Cemetery in Le Claire.

Visitation will be at the funeral home.

He was born Jan. 17, 1948, in Moline, Ill., the son of Paul W. and Eloise Marie Ford Stone. He married Rosemarie C. Frutos on Dec. 12, 1970, in Vinadelmar, Chile. He owned Cedar County Computers. He was a graduate of Rock Island High School and attended Black Hawk College. He was baptized in the Methodist Church. He was a member of the Cedar County Computer Club, a ham radio enthusiast and adored his grandson. He served in the Navy during the Vietnam Conflict. Survivors include a daughter, Wendy Stone of Davenport; a son, Jeff Stone and his wife, Charity, of Wilton; a sister, Joyce Macias of Rock Island, Ill.; a brother, Terry Stone of Davenport; and a grandson, Tevin Stone. He was preceded in death by his father, Paul Stone in 1999, and his mother, Eloise Marie Stone in 1983.
