MUSCATINE - Marjorie W. Jones, 84, of 2004 Crestline Drive, died Thursday, December 30, 1999, at Muscatine Care Center.

Services will be at the Ralph J. Wittich-Riley-Freers Funeral Home. The Reverends Michael Spangler and Pamela Saturnia of the First Presbyterian Church will officiate. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the First Presbyterian Church.

Mrs. Jones was born on July 27, 1915, in Ogdensberg, New York, the daughter of Lewis and Minnie Ripley Webb. She married Howard Jones on Sept. 14, 1944, in San Antonio, Texas. They moved to Muscatine in 1955.

She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church and the U.P.W. She was a graduate of Connecticut College. She enjoyed sewing.

She was a veteran of the US Army Air Corps, having served in World War II.

She was the secretary for the First Presbyterian Church for 15 years.

Survivors include her husband, Howard Jones of Muscatine; one son, Robert L. Jones and his wife, Carilee, of Muscatine; four grandsons, Eric Peterson, Kurtis Peterson, Khris Jones and Adam Jones; and two sisters, Mary Bruder of Boynton Beach, Florida and Louise De Monico of New York, New York.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Linda J. Petersen; and two brothers, Ripley and Fredrick Webb.
