RALPH E. SCHAER

Services for Ralph E. Schaer, 63, 719 Oak St., will be Wednesday at 1:30 pm at the Otterbein United Methodist Church. The Rev. Don Campbell will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitiation will be from 2-9 pm today and to 10 am Wednesday at the Geo. M. Wittich Funeral home. A memorial fund has been established.

Mr. Schaer died Tuesday at Muscatine General Hospital. He was born Mary 27, 1919, in Muscatine, the son of Ernest A. and Margaret Anderson Schaer. He lived most of his life in Muscatine. He married Loretta Scott on Nov. 2, 1945, in Aiken, S.C. He retired in December after 18 years as manager of Breese Auto Parts. He was a member of the Otterbein United Methodist Church, Port City Kiwanis Club, and was a World War II veteran.

Surviving are his wilfe, one son, Gordon E. of Norco, Calif.; two grandsons; and four sisters, Mrs. Raymond (Helen) Bates, Mrs. Lloyd (Norma) Wellington, Mrs. Frances (Marilyn) Cooney, and Mrs. Keith (Marjorie) Cooney, all of Muscatine.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
