THOMAS E. KELLY

Thomas E. Kelly, 62, Route 3, Box 38, died late Monday morning at Muscatine General Hospital.

Services will be Wednesday at 10:30 am at the St. Mathias Church with the Rev. Thomas Gehisen officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be today from 2-9 pm at the Ralph J. Wittich Funeral Home, where a memorial fund has been established.

Mr. Kelly was born July 6, 1920, in Davenport, the son of Edward and Frieda Schrempf Kelly. He lived in Muscatine all his life. His first marriage was to Kathryn A. Ingram. He later married Carol Chapman, who is deceased. On Feb. 14, 1977, he married Marlyn M. Curtis in Muscatine. He was a retired tool and die maker at HON after working there for 19 years, and also serviced washers and dryers. He was a member of St. Mathias Church.

Survivng are his wife, Marlyn, five sons, Thomas M. of Davis, Calif., Michael of Las Vegas, and Daniel, Joseph and Thomas Richard, all of Muscatine; four daughters, Mrs. Jack (Virginia) Powers of Durant, Mrs. Robert (Judith) Viner of Lone Tree, Mrs. Jim (Martha) Clanton of Muscatine, and Mrs. Steve (Tovie) Hughses of Dexter, Mo.; one step-daughter, Tammy Warren of Muscatine, 17 grandchildren, one great-grandchild; two brothers, John of San Jose, Calif., and Charles of Muscatine, four sisters, Mrs. Lloyd (Veronica) Grupe of Bettendorf, Sister Julia (Margaret) Kelly of British Columbia, Canada, and Mrs. Charles (Dorothy) Snyder and Mrs. Michael (Mary) Kurylo, both of Davenport.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and his second wife.
