MUSCATINE, Iowa - Wallace G. Nyweide, 93, of 2008 Mulberry Ave., died Wednesday, Nov. 7, 2001, at Unity Hospital.

Services will be at the Wesley United Methodist Church, 400 Iowa Avenue. The Rev. Mike Janes will officiate. Pallbearers will be Leonard Paul, Don Pauken, David Duffe, Chris Nyweide, Jack Nyweide, Joel Hetzler, and Lester Coleman. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Visitation will be at the Ralph J. Wittich-Riley-Freers Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Wesley United Methodist Church.

Mr. Nyweide was born on Nov. 17, 1907, in Muscatine, the son of John and Mary TeStrake Nyweide. His first marriage was to Betty Warman in 1937. She preceded him in death in 1959. His second marriage was to Ida Mae Hetzler on August 27, 1966, in Muscatine. She preceded him in death in March of 2000.

He graduated from Northwestern University with a Batchelor's Degree in Business Administration.

He was a member of the Wesley United Methodist Church, the Iowa Lodge No. 2 AF & AM; the 33 Club of Muscatine; and a past president of the Muscatine Rotary International.

He owned and operated the U.S. Bakery; he then worked for the Dane Bosworth Brokerage House; and then for Quail, Inc., retiring in 1997, from Robert B. Ausdal Company as a Vice President.

Survivors include a brother, Lysle Nyweide of Frankfurt, Ill; a sister, Lois Coleman of Boulder, Colorado; three brothers in-law, Floyd Scott of Muscatine, Harland Hetzler of Monticello, and Donald Knight of Ft. Myers, Florida; two sisters in-law, Corrine McKee of Muscatine and Agnes Miller of Davenport; ; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, both wives, and two sisters, Dorothy Scott and Helen Knight.
