MUSCATINE - Clayton R. Kane, 83, died Wednesday, Nov. 23, 1999, at the Marshalltown Medical and Surgical Hospital. Graveside services will be at the Andalusia Cemetery, Andalusia, Ill. Pallbearers will be Larry Browning, Clayton Browning, Jim Snyder, Bill Berry, Jim Doyle, Butch Doyle. There will be a military service by the combined squads of the VFW and the American Legion. Visitation will be at the Ralph J. Wittich-Riley-Freers Funeral Home. Mr. Kane was born on Jan. 6, 1916, in Rock Island Co., Ill., the son of Frank and Jenny Spitznogle Kane. He had lived several years in Davenport. Survivors include his sister, Hilda Coulter, of Muscatine and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister.
