MUSCATINE - Helen Grace Jackson, 81, died Tuesday, Nov. 30, 1999, at Unity Hospital in Muscatine. Services will be at Geo. M. Wittich Lewis Funeral Home. The Rev. Tom Parrott of New Hope United Methodist Church will officiate. Burial will be at Muscatine Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mrs. Jackson was born on Sept. 25, 1918, in Moline, Ill., the daughter of Elmus and Cora Guy Day. She married Murray Allen Jackson on July 17, 1937, at Kahoka, Mo. She lived most of her life in Muscatine. She was a Cubs fan. She liked to watch the Wheel of Fortune and Days of Our Lives. She enjoyed to go camping and fishing. She retired from Heinz in 1976 after 19 years of service. Survivors include a son, Dennis Jackson and his wife, Jolly, of Colona, Ill.; three daughters, Patricia McFadon and her husband, Stanley, of Muscatine, Susan Martin and her husband, Larry, of Muscatine and Michele "Mick" Skidmore and her husband, Sam, of Muscatine; 12 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; a sister, Evelyn Havel of Muscatine; and two sisters-in-law, Mary Day of California and Lela Day of Muscatine. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; four brothers, Floyd, Russell, Robert and Fred Day; and a sister, Dorothy Ricketts.
